Dr. Chang is board certified in Internal Medicine and the first in the UCLA’s Community Track East-West fellowship program. He received his
Physiology, B.S. & Medical Pharmacology, M.S. from the University of Arizona, and his MD from St George’s University School of Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
He has been drawn to the integrative and holistic approach to patient care since medical school. His previous 3-year work experience as a hospitalist caring for terminally ill patients at a cancer center motivated him to pursue additional training in acupuncture in hopes to alleviate their pain and suffering.
Dr. Chang was the first person to join UCLA’s Community Track East-West fellowship program. He graduated in June 2021 and is currently a part time staff physician at Center for East-West Medicine. Concurrently he is working as a consultant and educator for the CSC Health System, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides medical care for the underserved population in the downtown and San Gabriel Valley area in Los Angeles. He is actively involved in developing the East-West online course with the education team. He is also dedicating his time in teaching and disseminating East-West medicine in different academic and community settings.
